Teaching & academics

Results sit broadly in line with national patterns rather than above them: 22 per cent of GCSE entries reached grades 9 to 7 (against a national average of 23 per cent), while at A-level 25 per cent achieved A*-A and 51 per cent A*-B, both a little below the national figures. The sixth-form curriculum is notably wide-ranging, with popular choices spanning Mathematics, the sciences, History, Government and Politics, Economics and Art and Design. Languages are a genuine strength, with French, Spanish and Chinese taught, and an MFL scholarship on offer. With around 19 per cent of pupils on SEN support, the school works with a meaningful spread of learning needs.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A small, mixed Norfolk school with boarding, a strong sixth form and genuine breadth in subjects and languages. Means-tested bursaries of up to half the fees may open the door to families who would otherwise find the cost out of reach.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
