With around 49 pupils across the 5-18 age range, including a tiny sixth form of nine, it offers an unusually intimate setting where children are known as individuals. Teaching & academics

Pupils work towards GCSEs, with provision continuing into a small sixth form. The ISI's good rating points to sound teaching, while the excellent grade for personal development signals real strength in how the school nurtures independence and character. The AS Neill Trust has limited funds to support families

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A genuinely unconventional school for families drawn to a child-led, boarding-friendly education in rural Suffolk. With limited bursary support available through the AS Neill Trust, it is worth an early conversation for those whose children would thrive outside a conventional model.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
