The Mead School
A small Christian prep in Tunbridge Wells, The Mead School takes pupils from the age of three through to eleven, with around 234 children on roll. Its compact size lends itself to an intimate, family feel where individual children are easily known. The Independent Schools Inspectorate awarded the school its highest grade of "excellent", and judged its provision for personal development to be equally strong. Led by Head Mrs Catherine Openshaw, it is a co-educational, day-only setting.

Teaching & academics
The ISI rated the quality of pupils' achievements as "excellent", a reassuring marker for parents weighing up preparation for senior school entry. With a small roll and an age range that spans the full primary years, the school is well placed to track each child closely from the early years onwards.

This isn’t a question bank. Watch it decide how to teach.
Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.
A small, Christian-rooted prep with top ISI marks for both achievement and personal development - one for families who value being properly known.
That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.
