Twyford School

0Pupils

A small, mixed prep school with a Church of England character, Twyford educates around 422 pupils from age two right through to thirteen, offering boarding alongside day places. Its compact size lends a settled, close-knit feel, and the Independent Schools Inspectorate rated the school excellent for both education and personal development at its most recent inspection. Almost a fifth of pupils receive some form of SEN support, suggesting a community used to working with a range of learning needs. Notably, nearly one in five pupils receives SEN support, well above what many families might expect.

Beyond the classroom

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A small, all-through prep with boarding and an excellent inspection record, Twyford suits families who value a screen-light environment and want their child known as an individual. Generous bursaries, including transformational awards covering more than full fees, widen access for those who would not otherwise consider it.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
