Founded in 1893, Bedales has long been associated with a progressive, child-centred approach to education, and today it draws families to its Petersfield setting in Hampshire from age 3 right through to 18. It is a medium-sized, mixed independent school of around 455 pupils, with boarding alongside day places. The Independent Schools Inspectorate rated it good overall in its most recent inspection, while awarding an excellent grade for pupils' personal development and confirming that compliance standards were met. A notably high proportion of pupils receive SEN support, suggesting a school accustomed to working with a range of individual needs.

Where every mark matters.

Places are limited and demand is high, so exam performance is what sets candidates apart. Passmate turns the months ahead into ten focused minutes a day on the exact topics this school tests.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A creative, individually minded independent with strong personal development credentials and a wide academic and artistic offer. Means-tested bursaries of up to 50 per cent help offset fees that reach £42,657 for day pupils and £55,071 for boarders.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
