Buckswood School is a small independent school in East Sussex, with around 250 pupils and a mixed, co-educational intake. As a boarding school that also takes day pupils, it offers an international dimension uncommon in a school of this size, and its modest roll allows for close attention to each pupil. With no religious affiliation, it draws families from a broad range of backgrounds. Entry is available at 11, with admission assessed via the 11+. The school is led by Principal Kevin Samson and inspected by the ISI.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

A small, non-selective-in-feel boarding and day school with an international flavour and a flexible sixth form offering both A-levels and the IB.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.

Works alongside your child’s tutor - not instead of them.
