Teaching & academics
King's offers a broad academic path through GCSE and A-level, with the EPQ available for older pupils to pursue independent research. At sixth form, Economics, Mathematics, English Literature, History, Government and Politics and Religious Studies are the popular choices, and a quarter of A-level entries reach A*-A. The published headline GCSE figures are low against national averages, and parents should ask the school directly about how these are calculated given its 13-18 examined cohort and 11+ entry point. Nearly one in five pupils receives SEN support, suggesting a school used to working with a range of learning needs.

This isn’t a question bank. Watch it decide how to teach.
Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.
A small, historic Church of England school with boarding and a strong personal-development record; the headline exam data warrants a direct conversation at open day.
That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.
