A small Roman Catholic boarding and day school in Oxfordshire, The Oratory School educates around 300 pupils aged 11 to 19 within a notably close-knit setting. Its pupil-to-teacher ratio of six to one is exceptionally generous and signals a highly individualised approach to teaching. The Independent Schools Inspectorate rated the school excellent across the board, including for pupils' personal development, and found it fully compliant with regulatory standards. With nearly a quarter of pupils receiving SEN support, the school appears willing and equipped to work closely with those who need it.

Watch Passmate decide how to teach.

Answer as a child would. Left: what they see. Right: what it learns about them.

An intimate Catholic school where small classes and a strong inspection record meet a structured boarding life. Best suited to families seeking close attention and a values-led community, with bursaries and a range of scholarships to ease the cost.

That’s where Passmate comes in. Tutoring is the most effective thing in a child’s preparation - a well-tutored child can outperform the vast majority of their peers. Passmate works alongside your tutor, not instead of them: it learns how your child thinks, finds the gaps, and shows the tutor exactly where to spend each session - so the limited time you have lands on what actually decides a place.
